To celebrate 30 years of musical passion and its 10th year at La Seine Musicale, the Chœur Philharmonique International, UNESCO Artist for Peace, presents an exceptional programme: George Gershwin's sublime Porgy and Bess. A thug, a beggar, a young woman.
African Americans in the 1930s. They survive in the slums of Charleston, South Carolina, where love, crime, and poverty are daily companions.
At the crossroads of opera, blues, negro spirituals, and jazz, Gershwin imbues his characters with a flame to twirl, sing, and vibrate despite adversity! The world's most famous jazzy lyrical work. La Seine Musicale does not permit children under 3 years old into the auditorium.
