For over a decade, Aurélie Charon, a producer at France Culture, has travelled the world with a microphone in hand, meeting her contemporaries, forging loyal friendships and lasting bonds. Accompanied by her guests from Ukraine, Syria, Bosnia, Gaza, Lebanon…, a musician and a live illustrator, Aurélie Charon transforms these diverse documentary materials into a full-fledged show. An unprecedented stage format, based on video reports and live interviews, which gives these striking testimonies a rare presence and powerful impact. With this new triptych, she explores the possibility of reconciliation with these young people, often from war-torn countries. Following the shows Vivantes, Nos vies à venir and Réuni·es, which continue to be performed, evolve, and be written with current events, we are conceiving a new cycle, “le jour d’après” (the day after). It is less a theme than a position: what if we jumped the hurdle to speak from a place that in no way bypasses conflicts but rather steps over them to think further. To already place ourselves in movement, action, creation.
