Overview
Did you know that the first car to exceed 100km/h in 1899 was… electric? Innovation doesn't always start tomorrow!
This exhibition, in collaboration with Atelier 21, (re)highlights forgotten knowledge and brings it into dialogue with contemporary creations from design, engineering, and art.
The goal: to develop new avenues for research and innovation from an energy, social, and ecological transition perspective. It's time to dive into Rétrofutur! An exhibition to see on the ground floor of the Médiathèque Jean-Pierre Melville from September 22 to October 11.
Through the Paléo-énergétique programme, Atelier 21 unearths simple, robust, and often forgotten devices — heat recovery, solar cooking, passive systems, low-impact infrastructures — all concrete avenues for moving away from petrochemical-dependent logics.
An inaugural conference followed by a private view is scheduled for Wednesday, September 23, at 5 PM Exhibition supported by the local Crédit Agricole Ile-de-France branch
