The Auditorium, an emblematic hall at La Seine Musicale, captivates with its immersive 360-degree architecture, inspired by the vineyard model, offering unique proximity between artists and audience. A true acoustic gem, it hosts an ambitious programme dedicated to great repertoire works, recitals, and exceptional musical projects. Over the seasons, the resident orchestra at La Seine Musicale, Insula orchestra and its guest season, develops a strong artistic identity there. These exceptional ensembles share the stage with internationally renowned soloists and emerging young talents, making each concert a unique moment. At the crossroads of tradition and creation, the Auditorium's programming fully reflects the dynamism and openness of the current classical scene.

Two visions of nascent Romanticism: one introspective and poignant, the other more ardent and conquering, to be experienced as close as possible to the period of composition in the historical interpretation of the Orchestre des Champs-Élysées and its founding conductor Philippe Herreweghe, returning to La Seine Musicale to illuminate the authenticity and modernity of two major works. Known and recognised in early music, Herreweghe has in fact been immersed in 19th-century scores for a long time. He has also recorded a magnificent complete set of Beethoven's symphonies.

But first, the evening will open with Schubert's Symphony No. 8, fascinating in its mystery. Unfinished, it unfolds in two movements a profoundly moving lyrical intensity, in a perpetual play of shadow and light, characteristic of the composer. Whispered and grave, it then becomes tenderly sung
