In the style of Macha Beranger, Stella hosts a daily radio show from midnight to three in the morning, taking calls from insomniac listeners to chat. But tonight, a series of calls, all seemingly linked, leads Stella to fantasise about the lives of those who call her.

Conversing with each of them, she becomes a witness to the silent dramas their voices camouflage. We then slip into a theatrical thriller where fragments of a larger family drama are revealed.

With “Allô Stella”, we choose a visceral entry into the mechanisms of coercive control and domestic violence. The family forms a microcosm where secrets, taboos, and silences are woven – an intimate space where violence can sometimes take the face of those we love.

How then is the chain of silence built? And how can we hear what is left unsaid? Written in close collaboration with a specialised psychologist, Allô Stella addresses these questions in the form of a theatrical thriller.

Suspense here becomes a dramaturgical tool: to feel before understanding, to experience before analysing. We bet that emotion can open a more intimate and personal path to reflection.
