Black Star Riders is a hard rock band formed in 2012, evolving from Thin Lizzy. The project was launched by Scott Gorham, Thin Lizzy's historic guitarist. Originally, the band covered Thin Lizzy's repertoire before deciding to create their own compositions. Their music blends classic hard rock, Irish influences, and modern sounds. Their first album, All Hell Breaks Loose (2013), marked their official entry onto the rock scene. They followed up with several albums, including The Killer Instinct (2015) and Heavy Fire (2017).

Vocals are notably provided by Ricky Warwick, a central figure in the band. Black Star Riders stands out with melodic riffs and often introspective lyrics. Over the years, the lineup has evolved but maintains an identity true to its roots. Today, the band is recognised as a worthy heir to the spirit of Thin Lizzy while asserting its own identity. Hard rock artisans, TYKETTO, kick off 2026 with the release of their 6th studio album, Closer To The Sun, via Silver Lining Music on March 20, 2026, and with it, unveil some of their best, superbly crafted rock anthems, celebrating the return of this criminally underrated quintet, originally founded in New York.
