A summit meeting. With the CCN–Ballet de Lorraine, Les Arts Florissants shatter the boundaries between baroque and contemporary. A double creation by Josépha Madoki and Maud Le Pladec – choreographer of the Olympic ceremonies. Concerto danzante shatters the boundaries between baroque music and contemporary dance. From Vivaldi to Bach, the show offers a vibrant journey through the history of the concerto, nourished by an unexpected dialogue with contemporary dance. On stage, two creations respond to each other, performed by the CCN–Ballet de Lorraine. Around Vivaldi, Josépha Madoki imagines a dialogue as audacious as it is electrifying with waacking, an urban dance with a strong theatrical dimension. Around Bach, Maud Le Pladec deploys a powerful choreographic style, focused on the very essence of the concerto. Les Arts Florissants, directed by violinist and conductor Théotime Langlois de Swarte, infuse this encounter with irresistible musical energy.
