Following the success of Don Giovanni, the Athénée welcomes the next installment of the trilogy that Da Ponte wrote for Mozart with Così fan tutte, in a production by Jean-Yves Ruf. On stage, the 32 instrumentalists of Le Concert de la Loge, led by Julien Chauvin, mingle with six young lyrical voices discovered by Arcal. Between laughter and sarcasm, this opera questions the constancy of feelings, temptation, and the play of appearances. The story is simple, the challenge dizzying. Two young officers, Ferrando and Guglielmo, certain of their fiancées' fidelity, accept a cynical bet: to put their love to the test. Disguised and guided by Don Alfonso's irony and Despina's mischief, they will each try to seduce the other's beloved. Under the mask of play and disguise, certainties waver. Fidelity, desire, and illusion intertwine in a laboratory of feelings, a tender and cruel mirror of our own contradictions.
