In a near future where fertility is plummeting and fascism is on the rise, Johanna and Henri, two geneticists in love, cannot conceive a child. Thanks to their pact with tech genius Melon Smuk, the couple decides to create a human being in vitro, whatever the cost…
Thus Gabriell is born, a child raised in secret, far from the world. When she is torn from this paradise, she follows in her parents' footsteps and discovers a universe devastated by techno-fascism, ecological disasters, and shattered utopias.
Her initiatory journey then becomes a quest for joy, beauty, and strength to collectively imagine a world different from that of adults. This reinterpretation of the Faust myth reiterates Goethe's gesture while erasing its virile and romantic dimension.
It questions our modern pacts with the Devil: technology, capitalism, destruction of living things. Created from improvisations and stage writings, the show explores the shadow and light of our desire to create, understand, and repair the world.
