Text:
Mozart was a very young man when he began composing violin concertos. They were intended to serve as a backdrop for Salzburg evenings, but Mozart obviously added his own touch! He broke away from baroque codes to make room for the orchestra and dialogue with the soloist, and emancipated himself from French and Italian influences to impose his singular eloquence. An excellent violinist, Mozart was at home in Salzburg where he performed in concert from the age of 7. In his concertos, which he therefore performed himself, he exploited all the potential of the instrument in melodies that flow like honey to our ears. These early works already show overflowing inventiveness, sometimes very lyrical, sometimes more frivolous but never superficial. Let yourself be seduced by the luminous music of the young Mozart, which Mathieu Herzog, the Orchestre Appassionato and Charlotte Salustre-Bridoux will interpret with the elegance, tenderness and irresistible touch of playfulness that it possesses.
