About — The artist
Kneecap is an Irish hip-hop trio. The group consists of Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap, and DJ Próvaí, the stage names of Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, Naoise Ó Cairealláin, and JJ Ó Dochartaigh, respectively. They compose in a mix of English and Irish, and their lyrics include Irish republican themes. Kneecap is regularly criticised for its pro-Palestinian stance, openly adopted from its beginnings.
Kneecap's first single, C.E.A.R.T.A., was released in 2017, followed by the mixtape 3CAG in 2018. The trio's debut album, Fine Art, was released on Heavenly Recordings in 2024, while an eponymous biographical film was released later the same year. Kneecap's second album, FENIAN, is scheduled for release in 2026.
