Are we slaves to our own profiles? With Tomorrowisnowtodayisyesterday (TiNTiY), choreographer Sung Im Her delivers an electric performance on our addiction to social media. Driven by clubbing rhythms, this explosive trio questions the blurred line between our real and virtual identities in an information-saturated world. A pure burst of energy!

In Tomorrowisnowtodayisyesterday (TiNTiY), Sung Im Her explores the impact of modern media consumption on our bodies and minds. On a deliberately minimalist, almost raw stage, three performers execute “over-produced” gestures.

The choreography uses repetition hypnotically, punctuated by comical moments evoking, for example, internet memes. The “clubbing” soundtrack, composed by the Belgian duo Husk Husk, completes the transformation of the stage into a space of contemporary trance.

Make no mistake, this “pop” proposal does not shy away from rigour. Sung Im Her's work is distinguished by a constant balance between a formal minimalist aesthetic and an engaged narrative.

As a choreographer, she seeks the essence of movement, creating repetitive gestures, stripped of any prior cultural or personal meaning.

Created in 2024, this piece is the result of an international collaboration, co-commissioned by the Seoul Performing Arts Festival (South Korea) and The Place (United Kingdom). Sung Im Her's work is part of a dual historical lineage. S.

On the other hand, her collaborations with major companies such as Les ballets C de la B or Needcompany place her work at the heart of the “Belgian wave” of contemporary dance, famous for its fusion of extreme physical performance and political issues.

Tomorrowisnowtodayisyesterday (TiNTiY) is a joyful fusion of all these legacies.
