An immersion into the filmmaker's most recent films, the exhibition offers an insight into her perception of nature, her methodology, and her work economy, which the artist has persistently pursued since the 1970s.
Until now rarely shown in exhibitions, Rose Lowder's cinema has for fifty years constituted research into visual perception, through an observation of nature captured by a 16-millimetre camera, interweaving rapidly flowing images in sites where biodiversity is preserved.
La Source de la Loire (2019-2021), filmed on Mont Gerbier de Jonc, forms the heart of this presentation, and is accompanied by two "Bouquets": twenty one-minute films each, shot on organic farms and properties, mostly in the South of France where the artist also resides.
