Winner of the Prix des Amis du Palais de Tokyo 2026-2027, Céleste Richard-Zimmermann invites us to explore a common world in ruins, where symbols of power are crumbling. An irreverent reflection on our world.
Since 2008, the Association des Amis du Palais de Tokyo has awarded a prize to an emerging artist to support and promote contemporary creation in France.
The winning proposal for this edition, by Céleste Richard-Zimmermann, is a reflection on symbols of power centred around a broken, hollow, and unstable column.
Sculptures, fragments, and sound installations compose a space traversed by gestures of destruction and transformation, where the memory and future of our edifices are replayed, questioning the resistance and circulation of forms.
