Coupe du monde de danse électro de LRC

For the fourth consecutive year, discover the electro dance world championship, the first dance born in France since the French cancan. Two days to thrill to the rhythm of unleashed battles and performances, workshops, and shows celebrating this community with renewed energy each year.

Having taken shape in the early 2000s, in various Parisian nightlife venues, electro dance burst into the spotlight during the Techno Parade in 2007. As its name clearly indicates, it emerges in osmosis with electronic rhythms, preferably very shaking ones.

At once (hyper) dynamic, ethical, and authentic, it thumbs its nose at Tektonic, a completely fake mercantile variant very quickly absorbed by the media machine. Since 2007, driven by videos disseminated via the internet, it has continuously gained followers across the globe.

With the pieces Elektro Kif (2010) and Elektrik (2017), choreographer Blanca Li gave it true stage legitimacy. In this regard, the young and very creative company Mazel Freten proves equally important, particularly with the piece Rave Lucid (2022).

Launched in 2013, the electro dance world championship – Life’s Round Contest (LRC for short) – has further amplified this movement of recognition.

The initiative comes from the LRC Officiel association, founded by Jimmy Medina (alias Milliard), a virtuoso and activist for the cause, himself a multiple world champion.
