What is our relationship with the body, our own, that of others? Très chair corps explores this unbreakable, complex, and ambiguous link.
Since birth, we wear this skin suit that is our body. Glued to our flesh, it defines us, reveals us, but also hinders us.
From the emancipatory power we can draw from it to the prison it can prove to be, this improvised one-woman show explores our intimate and ambivalent relationship with the body. Each performance of "Très chair corps" is a unique, ephemeral, and captivating moment.
Indeed, the show is built around your anonymous testimonies, short anecdotes recorded on our website. Two of them are broadcast at the beginning of the show, without the actress having listened to them beforehand, inspiring the scenes that are created before your eyes.
In parallel, the lighting, the choice of music, and the videos projected by the stage manager are also improvised. The video mapping system gives an immersive and contemporary dimension to the show.
The actress uses poetry, humour, drama, and horror to unveil the dark areas of our corporeality such as physical transformation, dysmorphophobia, sexuality, illness, but also the vital power that keeps us standing.
The show invokes our monsters and our ghosts, questions norm and deformity…
