About — The venue
The Protestant temple of the Oratoire du Louvre is a place of worship located at 145 rue Saint-Honoré in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. It is a former Catholic church, seat of the Congregation of the Oratory of France, elevated by Louis XIII to the title of royal chapel of the Louvre Palace in 1624. Deconsecrated during the French Revolution, it became in 1811 under Napoleon I the seat of the Reformed consistory of Paris. The parish is a member of the United Protestant Church of France, committed to social Christianity and liberal theology.
