La vie de ma mère

Accustomed to travelling with its big top, the Compagnie d’un Ours attempts here to bring its circus onto a theatre stage. A formidable challenge for these artists whose ambition is none other than to construct a mountain right before our eyes!

« I will attempt, before your astonished eyes, with three pieces of wood, to construct a precipice, a ridge, a lifeline, the fear of falling, the summit not so far but not yet conquered  ». Olivier Debelhoir is not one to shy away from a challenge. Initially a tightrope walker and street juggler, he trained as an acrobatic bicycle porter, explored martial arts, and then became a tightrope walker on all surfaces. Today, he seeks out vertigo wherever he goes, constantly pushing boundaries. With La vie de ma mère, supported by his accomplices, he offers us a great moment of escapism, capable of building worlds with bits of string. On the programme: apparitions, accordion, a knight in armour and even… levitation 47 cm above the ground!
